It has been less than four months since my hair transplant at the Skin-Hair Clinic, and I have been extremely pleased both with the results of the transplant and with my interactions with Dr. Lina Muñoz and her staff. I first learned about the clinic from Dr. Zamir Paez, a leading plastic surgeon in Medellin, who performed facelift surgery on me in October 2025. I met with Dr. Lina before leaving the country (I am from the U.S.) and scheduled the transplant for early January 2026. My Spanish language ability is poor, but there were always people around who assisted me with the translation. The hair transplant itself took place over a grueling nine hours (more grueling for Dr. Lina, Sandra, and her assistants than for me!). I stayed in Medellin for six days and met with the doctor frequently for follow-up visits. Subsequent visits have taken place virtually; I also send photos monthly, and the doctor follows up with comments and suggestions.

Potential patients from other countries should know that Medellin is a beautiful city, and the Skin-Hair Clinic is located in a very modern office building attached to a massive mall (El Tesoro Parque Comercial), with hundreds of stores and dining options. I stayed in a modern hotel, Novotel Medellin El Tesoro, also part of the mall complex.
