About The Maitland Clinic
Dr. Edward Maitland is one of the pioneering surgeons who introduced and evolved hair transplantation in the UK. Before receiving his fellowship in hair restoration surgery, Maitland has worked as a skin cancer surgeon for 10 years. He was among the first patients who received ARTAS treatment. This has enabled him to get insights into the hair transplantation procedure from a patient’s perspective. At Maitland Clinic, Dr. Edward offers FUT, FUE and facial hair transplants. It was amazing to watch the whole procedure taking place without feeling any pain because the pain had been my biggest fear. I run short of words to describe how amazing the whole process was for me and the results I am seeing are really appreciated.
My colleagues do not believe it when I tell them the transplanted hair actually came from the side of my head. My hair looks so naturally distributed throughout my head that you can’t even tell which part is the donor area.
What I like most about the hair transplant procedure is the donor area management. There are no scars that I will have to deal with for life. The hair density is not what I anticipated and I’m hoping it will improve over time as they keep saying.
