Starr has been a tremendous asset to me with my hair care journey. As a 54 year old
post menopausal woman, I am going on my 2nd year under Starr’s care. She has educated me on the importance of scalp treatment as well as hair loss from menopause and genetics. She has given me back my self confidence through different recommended scalp treatments including PRP, TED, and Stem Cell treatments as well as home care. Starr comes highly recommended as an educator and provider for your hair care needs.
Hair loss scam. Really discouraging. Shame on you. It is not in my character to leave poor reviews, as I know how they can have a significant impact on someone’s livelihood and or business. However, due to the nature of this specific subject, I felt the need to bc hair loss it’s such an easy business to prey on an individual. I went in to receive a consult concerning hair loss with a woman named Starr. I paid for the kind of consult that takes photos of your scalp and then sends it off to a supposed network of doctors that Starr claims she works closely with that will look at the photos and be able to draw a diagnosis. After speaking with her face-to-face, I was sold. Mostly due to my desperation. However, once I left there and started going over our conversation in my head, and being that I’m a part of the healthcare field, things just did not add up. On the website, it says she is currently in school for trichology. She is not a licensed trichologist as she claims in her consult. Granted, if you have a license in cosmetology, you do not necessarily need to be a formally licensed trichologist. But you misrepresent yourself is an entirely different thing. Also, She offers services such as PRF, micro, needling, etc. Some services which she is not qualified to provide, if I am correct. This is bc the second you draw blood from an individual it is considered a medical procedure in the state of SC. This is not within her scope of practice. Hence, why I predicted that she would not offer any of these services when we discussed my “diagnosis”. Lastly, I asked her for the Physicians clinical notes which provide their reasoning for the diagnosis. I wanted to see the lab that she sent my photos off to and the physician or company which signed off on it. I did this in order to verify a physician actually looked at it and applied clinical reasoning, and signed off on it or If not a physicians name a company representing these findings. As I suspected… She was using an AI app. This app is accessible to anyone. She takes The photos with her iPhone, then sends them off via app. AI emails back what looks like a very professional diagnosis. However, it is not. If you explore the app it details that it is not to be replaced with a physicians diagnosis. If you wish for a physician diagnosis you must specifically request a second opinion. That second opinion would in fact be signed off by a physician. This is like any other professional documentation. I wrote the company to verify and make sure I was not incorrect prior to coming forth with my claims. This app is so deceiving if you do not know what you are looking for. If I was not familiar with clinical documentation or how to efficiently do my research on healthcare professionals primarily because I am one I would probably be sitting in Starr’s seat right now as she is a very very good sales woman. Anyway, I’m not saying she hasn’t had results with past individuals. Or she is not good with hair as she has been working with it for years. However, anyone that misrepresents themselves or the services that they provide cannot be trusted. That is a huge, huge, huge red flag. I got all my money back. .
View review on GoogleI’ve been going to Starr for over a year to help with hair loss. She is the best! Before seeing her I tried for about 3 years to slow my hair loss and regrow. Some of the things I did were go to my dermatologist, Nutrafol, rosemary oil, special shampoo, other supplements, lab work, red light helmets and nothing seemed to help. So I finally decided to see Starr and wish I had gone years ago. Worth every penny. I did her 1 year program. My hair loss is back to normal, probably less hair fall than before and my hair is growing back. I’m no longer worried about being almost bald in my 40s. I cannot say enough good things about Starr and her work. I’ve recommended her to anyone I meet who is struggling with hair loss. Do yourself a favor and see Starr for a consult if you are struggling with hair loss. You will not regret it!
View review on GoogleI've had 8 treatments so far with Starr and I highly recommend her! I came to her in a pathetic state, mentally weak from years of trying to figure out why my hair was getting so thin, with it becoming really consuming in the months leading up to finding her. She was my last hope before surrending to a topper. My husband and I met with her for a consultation and she was excellent -- so compassionate and understanding, honest, straightforward, and down-to-earth. I committed to working with Starr for 12 sessions for my androgenetic alopecia and seborrheic dermatitis, because her pricing is very reasonable for the treatments I was getting (TED, PRP, cold plasma). She takes pictures at the beginning and throughout treatment so that you can see how much growth you've actually had, and so that she can tell which treatment you're responding best to. Starr is always researching and staying ahead of the game to best help her clients. And, if you decide that you aren't responding well to the treatments and you want to go with a topper or wig after all, she's an expert in that!
If you're tired of trying all the things that don't work for your hair loss and want an honest and fair expert who truly cares about her clients, book a consultation with Starr!
