Follicle – Premium Hair Transplants

I had a hair transplant with Dr. Hamish and his team in August 2025, and now at 8 months in, I can confidently say the whole experience has exceeded my expectations.

I was referred by a friend and, after consulting with a few clinics, Dr. Hamish stood out for how thorough and knowledgeable he was. He really took the time to understand what I wanted and made me feel completely comfortable and confident in my decision.

On the day, the nerves did set in, the team (including Emily and Luiza) were incredibly warm and supportive, which immediately put me at ease. The procedure itself was long (around 12 hours), but very well managed. Everything was clearly explained, and the team made sure I was comfortable throughout. I had 3,700 grafts, and the results align perfectly with what we planned.

The aftercare was just as impressive. They walked me through the journey and what I needed to do over the days/weeks following the procedure, and I had direct access to the team for any questions, which was really reassuring.

My recovery was smooth overall, and I started seeing results as early as 4 months. Now at 8 months, the outcome looks incredibly natural, and I’ve had so many compliments. It’s given me a huge boost in confidence.

6 months into my procedure, loving my new hairline! I had my hairline transplant done by Dr Hamish in October 2025. I found Dr Hamish after cancelling my booked transplant with another major clinic who made me feel unsupported, uncared for and more like a pay-check than a patient. So I was nervous rebooking with someone else and had lots of doubt and anxiety.

However! Instantly after meeting Dr Hamish and going through a treatment plan I knew I was in good hands. I booked in a date for my transplant that same week

The transplant itself was a walk in the park. I had around 3500 grafts so it was a long day but there was no pain through any of it. I’ve had tattoos and facial fillers in the past, both of which I believe are more uncomfortable than my hair transplant. I was so comfortable from start to finish, Dr Hamish and his team of nurses were always checking in, seeing if I needed anything from start to finish. Everyone there is amazingly friendly, which made the experience even easier having great people to talk to throughout the day.

As for healing, I was expecting it to be quite hard and intense. I had a slight headache the first night which was fixed with Panadol and after that nothing… my face didn’t even swell much which I honestly attribute to how gentle and careful Dr Hamish is during the procedure.

Overall, this was a 10/10 experience for me and I’d pick Follicle again any day. If you’re in Sydney and looking for a doctor with amazing results and a clinic that really cares for their patients, I wouldn’t look any further than Follicle, you’re in the best possible hands.
