After seeing my loved one struggle with hair loss for years and the new issues faced with Covid-19 related supply-chain shortages, I knew we had to find a more permanent solution. I researched many hair transplant and medical facilities in various countries. Being a native from Brazil and reading all the reviews, it quickly became clear that ICB would be the best choice for us. After contacting the ICB Itaim Bibi office, they were always available to answer any questions or concerns we had.

We would be travelling from the United States to Sao Paulo specifically for this procedure and any assistance they could provide would be greatly appreciated. They went over and above 100% to ensure that everything would be handled exceptionally well. On surgery day we were welcomed, cared for and they played his favorite relaxing music during the

procedure. After surgery was completed, an ICB Team Member escorted him back to our hotel across the complex so that they knew he was ok and resting in his room. Staybridge Hotel located in the same complex is the ideal location for this procedure due to its location and helpful staff.

Minha experiência com a ICB de Piracicaba foi, sem dúvida, uma das piores experiências médicas que já enfrentei.

Após o transplante capilar, comecei a sofrer com dores intensas e contínuas no couro cabeludo. Não estou falando de um desconforto esperado de pós-operatório, mas de uma dor incapacitante, muito acima de qualquer coisa que eu imaginava ser possível após um procedimento estético.

Procurei a clínica diversas vezes em busca de ajuda. Relatei repetidamente a gravidade do que estava acontecendo e esperava, no mínimo, uma avaliação cuidadosa para investigar a causa do problema. Isso nunca aconteceu. Em vez de me chamarem para uma consulta ou examinarem a situação de perto, limitaram-se a sugerir a interrupção do minoxidil.

O sofrimento se prolongou por meses. Para tentar suportar a dor, eu mantinha bolsas de gelo na cabeça por longos períodos ao longo do dia. Minha qualidade de vida despencou. O desgaste físico e emocional foi tão severo que acabei desenvolvendo um quadro psicológico grave durante esse período.

Por muito tempo imaginei que talvez aquilo fosse uma consequência normal do procedimento e que eu simplesmente precisasse suportar. Somente mais tarde, ao conversar com outras pessoas que haviam realizado transplante capilar, percebi o quanto minha situação fugia completamente do padrão esperado.

Quando finalmente tive a oportunidade de relatar tudo isso em uma consulta posterior, o próprio médico que me atendeu demonstrou surpresa com o quadro descrito e afirmou que aquele tipo de dor não era considerado normal após o procedimento.

Além de toda a experiência traumática, o resultado final do transplante ficou abaixo do que eu esperava ao contratar o serviço. O conjunto da experiência me deixou profundamente frustrado.

O que mais me marcou não foi apenas o sofrimento físico, mas a sensação de abandono diante de uma reclamação séria e persistente. Em nenhum momento tive a impressão de que a situação recebeu a atenção, a preocupação ou a investigação que merecia.

Se pudesse voltar no tempo, teria tomado uma decisão diferente. Este relato representa fielmente minha experiência pessoal e os fatos que vivi como paciente.
