I had a hair transplant done at Medical Hair while visiting family in Buenos Aires. Great experience all around! Same method and technology used in the States but at a fraction of the cost. They are very professional, they prepared me very well for the provedure, and they treated me like a king. I always want to improve myself and this time I wanted to look sharper. I’m happy with the results and I highly recommend Medical Hair in Buenos Aires.
View review on GoogleAmazing work even after only 14 days out of surgery it’s going to be a stellar outcome. Coming to Argentina from the USA first made me nervous but what amazing care and surgeons!
View review on GoogleI had a particularly bad experience. After trying a micropigmentation (they call tricopigmentation), I was left with blotches in the back and front of my head. They were not subtle at all. They also went very far in to my scalp, thus making it a permanent tattoo. They offered to try to fix it. But after the first round I lost confidence and I left. They didn't even consider returning the money. After some research, I found many other very experienced places (at less than half the cost). The constant comment was, "what they hel did they do to you?"
Not recommendable at all.
The purpose of this review is to share my personal experience with Medical Hair in Buenos Aires.
I visited Buenos Aires and since I had time, I decided to do the procedure during my stay.
I scheduled a visit with Dr. Giussi. During the visit, the procedure was explained, and clarified that the procedure can be completed since I have sufficient hair. The price of 1910 USD was confirmed and paid in cash. I was scheduled for 5.12.2022.
Upon arrival, I signed the necessary documents. The procedure was completed and I left home.
The next day I noticed that one area (the top of the head /crown) was not done. I asked Dr. Giussi if that part was done. The answer was no because I did not have enough hair. I asked why I was not informed during the procedure that there is an issue and what options I had at that point. The answer was - he made a decision and instructed his staff since he has 20 years of experience. My answer was - it was not a life-threatening situation where he had to make an emergency decision - it was an esthetic procedure where I should make a decision IF INFORMED AND ASKED on how do I want to proceed. I was under the local anesthesia able to communicate.
I WAS NEVER TOLD AT ANY POINT DURING THE PROCEDURE OR AFTER THE PROCEDURE THAT THERE IS ANY ISSUE OR THAT PROCEDURE WILL NOT BE EXECUTED AS WE AGREED. IF I WOULD NOT ASK THE QUESTION DURING THE MEETING WITH DR. GIUSSI I WOULD NOT KNOW. THE FACT THAT PROCEDURE WAS INCOMPLETE WOULD BE SILENTLY HIDDEN. How sad :)
I was so sad not because the procedure was not as I expected. I would accept the fact that there are limitations and that different solution is required. I sent an email requesting a refund. I never received an answer and I expected that they will be silent.
What is my experience and anyone considering procedure with Medical Hair should know:
1. Their marketing procedure is to overpromise and underdeliver
2. What kind of medical professional can conduct an evaluation, and confirm the procedure is possible when the fact is there is not sufficient hair to cover the bald area? Is it incompetence? Lack of professional assessment capabilities? I think it is greed to lock the deal. I still do not know how many "grafts" were taken, implanted, or used. At this point that is an irrelevant fact. At the point of evaluation that would be important.
3. What is professional ethics not to inform the patient of the problems during the procedure? What if I DID NOT ASK if the procedure was completed as agreed? I would find it out a few months later after leaving Argentina.
4. What is with medical ethics of proceeding with a procedure knowing that results assured will not be accomplished?
5. Is it ignorance, incompetence, or simple fraud?
6. What is with an organization that refuses complaints and fails to respond or discuss the issue?
7. What is with an organization that asks patient to sign the documents, and does not provide a copy of signed document? It happened before the procedure and I did not even think about the copy - when I asked for one, I never got one.
The above statement is my experience. I have to live with the decision Dr. Giussi made for me. I have to continue with my life and accept the fact that I was part of a fraudulent and unethical decision.
I wish other patients more luck and I wish Medical Hair to be honest and transparent with the patients. I advise medical staff to follow medical ethics and communicate and advise the patients to make a decision - not to make necessary decisions for them when the conditions allow communication with patients.
I wish you all the best.
Thanks Omer
Everything is great. They are very nice and so far it has been working. Love their massage chair
