I chose to work with Dr. Roopani for a beard transplant and I couldn't recommend him more highly to anyone who is seeking this type of surgery. I did a lot of research before choosing Root Hair and they were an easy first choice, for several reasons. First, the professionalism, kindness, and care I experienced from not just Dr. Roopani - but every single staff member I interacted with at the practice - was exceptional. Dr. Roopani spent SO MUCH time with me, making sure to answer every question I could think of and providing a ton of information about the process, my options, etc. I never felt rushed or like a burden for having lots of questions, even when I reached out in between appointments or post-surgery. He is among the kindest, most genuinely caring doctors I've ever interacted with. Every medical assistant, receptionist, PA, and patient navigator I interacted with was similarly top tier. I also think you can learn a lot about a doctor by the way they interact with their staff, and in the many hours I spent in the office I saw only kindness and respect between all staff - no condescension, no power tripping - just people who seemed like they really enjoyed working together. Second, with other practices I did consults with, either the doctor or their staff following up after the consult had pushy sales vibes. Some doctors said they could do a beard transplant but got cagey when I asked how many they had performed before, and/or didn't have any before & after pictures to share. Dr. Roopani has done a ton of beard transplants and he had ample documentation of impressive results to share. He's fellowship trained, a member of the ISHRS, and it's clear through conversation that he stays up to date on all the latest developments in the field. Unlike other practices, where it felt like they put on a good show for the initial consultation but really dropped off once I had more questions, Dr. Roopani and his staff have remained just as responsive, available, and caring since day one. Also, his technique and the quality of the outcome are just really, really good - I couldn't be happier with the results. I really encourage people to look at a ton of different before and after pictures - even from clinics in other states or internationally - just to get a sense of the range of results that are possible, both good and bad. Dr. Roopani may not post before and afters on his website, but you can tell when you see them that he's talented and the results are natural looking - so much more so than other providers in the area in my opinion. Lastly, Dr. Roopani and his staff are trans friendly and competent if that's relevant to you. I wouldn't hesitate for one second to recommend Root Hair to anyone I know.

Dr. Roopani and his team were excellent throughout the entire process. From the first consultation, everything was explained clearly and in detail - what to expect, how the procedure works, and what the recovery would look like. Communication was always easy and straightforward.

The procedure itself went smoothly, and the team was professional, attentive, and supportive the whole time.

At 6 months in, I can already see solid growth and natural-looking results, and I know it will continue to improve over time.
