6 months in and I genuinely couldn’t be happier with the progress. It’s easy to only focus on the end result with a hair transplant, but the overall experience has mattered just as much, so here are a few things I really valued about Wimpole Nottingham.

1. Pre-operation: I live just north of Derby, so being able to drive over and meet Dr Moussa and Amanda in person for the consultation was a huge plus. I know that’s not always possible, but it felt far more reassuring than doing everything over Zoom. The clinic location was also ideal for me, easy parking and not stuck in the middle of a city centre.

2. The procedure: The local anaesthetic definitely isn’t the most comfortable part, but it’s really just two short periods of around 5 minutes each. After that, the procedure itself is completely painless, and honestly incredibly slick and professional. Kindera, Phil, Amanda and Dr Moussa made the whole day feel relaxed and comfortable. We basically spent the day binge-watching Stranger Things.

3. Aftercare: The recovery isn’t painful, but it can definitely be stressful because you want to make sure you’re giving the transplant the best possible chance to succeed. Thankfully, having Amanda available on WhatsApp whenever I had questions or worries made a massive difference and really helped ease that uncertainty.

Overall, super happy with both the results and the experience as a whole. Would absolutely recommend Wimpole Nottingham.

I had an excellent experience with my hair transplant at Wimpole Clinic. From the very first consultation through to the post operative care, the entire team made me feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely supported.

The initial consultation was thorough and reassuring. They took the time to explain the procedure in detail, answer all my questions, and set realistic expectations. I never felt rushed or pressured, which made a big difference in my decision making process.

On the day of the procedure, the staff were incredibly professional and attentive. They created a calm environment and checked in with me regularly to make sure I was comfortable throughout. Dr. Ahmed Moussa, who carried out the incisions and designed the hairline, was a particularly calm and reassuring presence. His confidence and attention to detail really put me at ease and gave me trust in the operation.

From arriving at the clinic, to being picked up was approximately 7 hours, but the time passed more comfortably than I expected. The team made sure I was well looked after throughout, including providing lunch options, which was a thoughtful touch and helped break up the day.

The post-op care has been just as impressive. The team has been responsive, helpful, and encouraging during the recovery process, providing clear guidance and ongoing support whenever I needed it.

Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The combination of professionalism and genuine care made the whole journey smooth and positive. I would highly recommend Wimpole Clinic to anyone considering a hair transplant.

I had a hair transplant here in October and while it's early days, it's one of the best decisions I've ever made (both to get the hair transplant, but specifically to choose this clinic). They've won so many awards for a reason. They've experienced every type of patient and situation and know exactly how to handle them perfectly and put you at ease throughout the process. Amanda is outstanding - I had my initial consultation with her and she explained everything so clearly and was always happy to answer any question or worry I had - her knowledge and brilliant, friendly way of communicating meant that any worry was quickly solved in a message. On the transplant day itself, Dr Moussa was incredible - he explained everything beforehand, had a clear idea where to draw the hairline (which has turned out perfectly) and made everything feel so calm and worry-free.

The first two weeks post transplant are very tough, but follow everything the Wimpole Clinic gives you and advises, and it's more than worth it in the long term.

I've been told that there's still a way to go with my hair growth, but there's already been a gigantic difference after six months.- I don't look like I'm balding anymore and I feel confident enough to have photos taken of me again.

It may be more expensive than other options in the UK or abroad, but if you want a hair transplant done properly and with care, go with the wimpole. They're the best for a reason.
